Staff of Media Trust Ltd were thrown in mourning over the death of a senior accountant in the company, Hajiya Aisha Badamasi-Alhassan.
Hajiya Aisha Badamasi-Alhassan who died after a brief illness left behind an aged mother, four children and her husband, Mal. Yusuf Alhassan, the companyโs Senior Manager, Human Resources.
Her younger sister, Jemila Badamasi, described the news of her death as a โrude shockโ said she spoke to her on Wednesday and she sounded very well.
Her close friend, Hajiya Aisha Umar Yusuf, described her as very nice and easy going woman, saying, โWe are going to miss her. I pray God grant her Aljanah firdausโ. She was buried yesterday according to Islamic rites.
Present at the funeral were the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Media Trust Ltd Mal. Kabiru Yusuf, the Managing Director Mr. Ishaq Ajibola, the Editor-in-Chief Mal Mannir Dan-Ali, companyโs managers, colleagues and other sympathizers.
Late Aisha Badamasi Alhassan started working with Media Trust as freelance advert canvasser in 2004 at its Kano office.
Until her death, Aisha was a Senior Accountant in the companyโs Finance department
In 2005, she was employed as Accountant 1 still in the Kano office before she was transferred to the head office in Abuja in December 2007.
