The Special Anti-Robbery Squad,SARS, of the Enugu State Police command has arrested a notorious car snatching syndicate who allegedly specializes in snatching cars from unsuspecting victims using a Coal-City Taxi Cab.
The Command’s Police Public Relations Officer,PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed their arrest and gave the names of the alleged suspects as one Chinagorom Eze and Auwal Abdullahi.
Mr. Amaraizu’s confirmation was contained in a release which reads: “Our operatives on stop and search operations accousted the suspects  with a taxi cab with registration No XV 242 ENU and fleet No 119.
“During search by the operatives,they recovered a pump action gun with four live cartridges stuck in the vehicle’s engine.
“Suspects are helping the Police in their investigations as they have also named their gang leader”.
The Spokesman assured that manhunt on the rest of the gang members have been intensified by the operatives just as he has urged members of the public to divulge information to security operatives that will nip crime in the bud to ensure safety of lives and properties in the society.
