Another Okorocha’s Aide Resigns

Barely one month after several aides of Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State resigned their appointments from the state executive council, another senior aide of the governor, Chief Gibson Achonwa Njemanze has also resigned.

In a letter to the governor dated March 21, 2014, Chief Njemanze who was the mayor of Owerri Zone, said his
resignation was to enable him pursue his political aspiration.

The letter which was obtained by 247ureports.com reads in part, “For the
avoidance of obvious conflict with my official duties as the mayor of Owerri
Zone and my political aspiration, I hereby resign from my appointment as the
mayor of Owerri zone”

While thanking the governor for giving him the opportunity of serving in his government, he prayed God to
