Accident: Student, Motorcyclist Crushed To Death By Water Tanker

A motorcyclist and a student (names withheld) were in the early hours of Wednesday crushed to death by a tanker carrying water, along the Nkpor/Umuoji road in Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State.

 

It was gathered that the tanker driver with registration number, JJT401XG, was coming from Nkpor junction axis, on descending the hill, allegedly lost control of the vehicle sequel to break failure and on the process somersaulted twice, it crushed the motorcyclist with a young girl he’s carrying in the back, killing them instantly.

 

Investigations also gathered that the young girl was a student who was on her way to school and joined the motorcyclist believed to be her relation on his Lady’s motorcycle before the accident occurred.

 

 

Sympathizers who gathered expressed regret that a girl that was heading to school met her untimely death on the process.

 

Some of the sympathisers told our reporter that the motorcyclist had on noticing that the vehicle had a brake failure, stopped and parked but unfortunately on somersaulting, rammed into them and crushed them to death.

 

Their corpses were said to have been deposited at a yet to be disclosed morgue.

 

Confirming the incident, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, incharge of Ogidi Police Station, Mr. Isa Abubakar, said that investigation is on going.
