The former governorship candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria in Rivers state, ACN , in 2011 Dr. Abiye Sekibo has described the actions and activities of Governor Rotimi Amaechi and those of his allies in the present administration as elements of rascality. The Governorship candidate said this during a media chat with selected media in the state recently. He further Stated that the utterances and statements of Governor Amaechi have not shown that he is a leader, who wants to bring peace back in the State, noting that he (Amaechi) and some of his cronies have continued to conduct themselves in a manner that shows lack of decorum.
Dr Sekibo who is also an elder state man and chieftain of the People Democratic Party in Rivers state equally described the Amaechi as the worst governor Rivers state has ever have due to his conduct toward the President and his wife.
He was optimistic that Rivers people would continue to support President Jonathan Ebele Goodluck.
Reacting to the statements, Rivers state commissioner for information and communication, Mrs Ibim Seminitari said the former ACN governorship candidate should prove that Governor Amaechi is rough to President Jonathan.
