Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has called on Nigerians especially eligible supporters of the party to register en-mass in the on-going membership registration All progressives Congress.
The Governor said the registration of members of the new party will serve as a leverage to rescue the nation from the malevolence orchestrated by the People’s Democratic Party that.
Al-Makura made the call shortly after his registration at the Lungu/Wambai ward in Lafia Local Government Area of the state. “this is the first time any party in Nigeria will be going digital in its party registration “said Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
He averred that the APC stands for love of the masses which informed why his registration coincided with the Valentine’s Day celebration.
He added that the APC have confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, that is why the staging of the voters registration card is a precondition for the party’s registration.
When asked to comment on the early release of 2015 election time-table by INEC, Governor Al-Makura said he would align himself with the position of his party’s leadership.
