The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disclosed they would soon end up with no fewer than 23 state governors, in the efforts to further galvanize and strengthen the party in the country.

Also the party has gone ahead to challenge the Local Government scheduled to hold on Jan 11,2014 in Anambra state in court yesterday.

The above were revealed by Senator Chris Ngige at Finotel Awka yesterday during the inauguration of the party’s interim management committee to oversee its affairs in the state.

The interim committee was headed by the former chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria(ACN), Chief Amechi Obidike, while a nominee from the defunct All Nigerian People’s Party(ANPP) Mr Emmanuel Chikelo. Olisaemeka Onyeka was elected the Organizing Secretary while Onyinye Okonkwo became the Woman Leader.

Their choice was then ratified by the electoral college and subsequently inaugurated by the Deputy national Chairman(South East) who was represented by the Deputy National Youth Leader, Chief Uzoma Igbonwa.

Ngige noted that the party declined to participate in the coming council election because of the ambiguity and confusion as to which of the three circulating different voters registers in the state was valid and authentic.

He said that others who were hitherto sitting on the fence had to back out of the council election when they realized that due to the faulty voters register and other serious matters they had to stay away.

Ngige blamed the perceived inconsistencies in the polity in the state on the handiwork of propaganda being peddled by enemies of the electorate.

He said it was then that other parties like the PDP now joined in the boycott of the council election in the state.
