Information reaching 247ureports.com indicates that the turmoil sorrounding the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] may have found momentary succur. This is as the PDP tapped on the former governor of Bauchi State, Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu to mount the seat of PDP Chairman.
Available information indicates that the choice of Mu’azu was not President Jonathan’s – but the choice of some of the aggrieved PDP members who had threatened mass defection action should Bamanga Tukur continue at the realm of PDP affairs. The chioce, according to a source near the national legislative chambers, was that of members of the national assembly – who were interested in having a ‘core’ northerner at the top seat in PDP.
The source stated that the decision was reached on Saturday, January 19, 2014 – and was rectified by top personalities within the party on Sunday January 20, 2014.
The announcement is expected to be made public in the coming week.
