Leaders of the third phase Amnesty programme have passed a vote of confidence on Hon Kingsley Kuku , Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs for his unflinching commitment towards the development of the Niger Delta people ,
The ex agitators leaders passed the confidence vote recently during a meeting of over 700 ex militants held in Ugheli town hall, Delta state .
Speaking with journalists after the meeting convener who is National Secretary of the third phase ex militants Tam Odogwu described Hon Kuku as a true leader whose leadership qualities drum loudest in the essence of transparency, honesty, hardworking , selflessness , resourcefulness and commitment to the course of humanity.
Tam Odogwu further said Kuku’s credibility, effectiveness , knowledge and understanding of the plight of the Niger Delta ex militants contributed immensely to peace currently enjoyed in the region as oil production has steadily gained stability .
His prompt attention to issues is next to none .
He also used the medium to call on Kuku to finish strongly the excellent work he had started just as he passionately appealed to him to create room for the few undocumented task force hitherto described as unqualified so as to giving them a sense of belonging.
In the same vein President Goodluck Jonathan was hailed for his appointment of Kuku as his Adviser on Niger Delta and Chairman Presidential amnesty even as the secretary of the Niger Delta ex militants advised the militants eschew violence saying that it was only through dialogue and peaceful negotiation that the government of the day could respond positively to their complaints ,
Meanwhile chairman of Delta state amnesty programme Mr Kingsley Agas called for the cooperation of the ex militants in all spheres of their positive struggle , noting that any form of splinter action would truncate the collective will and agitation of the group.
