A chieftain of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia state, Hon. Micheal Anele has charged the people of Anambra state to maintain a political identity for Ndigbo by voting for the party in the governorship election which holds tomorrow.
Speaking to journalists in Aba, Anele who serves as the Chairman of the Ukwa West LGA chapter of the party posited that it would be in the best interest of the Igbo people to ensure that APGA emerges victorious at the polls.
“Anambra people should vote for APGA in the governorship election coming up tomorrow. They must ensure that APGA retains Anambra Government House because this is the only way to sustain a political identity for Ndigbo.
“The interest of Ndigbo will be better served when we have a platform we can truly call our own. APGA is the only party that portrays the identity and dreams of Ndigbo. With the huge support our party has gotten from the people of Anambra, we are sure of victory on November 16 and Ndigbo would be better for it,” he said.
Anele appealed to all stakeholders of the party including the governorship aspirants who lost in the party primaries to put aside personal interest and mobilize support for Chief Willie Obiano to ensure that the party realizes its dream of retaining the Awka Government House.
“Gov. Peter Obi, the party chairman and all stakeholders, including the governorship aspirants must put aside their personal interest or grievances and face the battle of ensuring victory for APGA in the elections as that is the only gift they would give to the Ndigbo at home and in Diaspora.”
