A large number of crowds drawn from various local government councils in Rivers state who are supporters of the supervising minister of Education, Barrister Nyesom Wike came out enmass on Tuesday at the Rivers state chapter of the People Democratic Party secretariat celebrating the defection of the state governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to the All Progressive Congress.
The supporters including members of the PDP arrived the party secretary at about 7.am with certain display of placard which has different inscription of “stubborn fly goes to the grave with the corpse, APC lost Ondo, lost Delta, lost Anambra, will surely lose Rivers and we thank you, rebel governors for leaving PDP”.
Addressing Newsmen at the party secretariat, Hon. Ibibia Walter, Rivers PDP secretary said the Party would organize a thanksgiving service in celebrating the defection of governor Amaechi to All Progressive Congress.
On their parts, members of the PDP also embarked on roadshow singing, dancing and chanting Anti Amaechi slogans.
