Ngige, APC Pulls Out Of Election Rerun

Information available to 247ureports.com indicates that the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the Anambra gubernatorial race, Senator Chris Ngige has pulled out of the gubernatorial race rerun scheduled for 65 wards inside some communities of Idenmili North LGA.

Senator Ngige made the announcement following the end of electoral exercise that was marred by irregularities attributed to the possible compromise of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) workers – that resulted in the falsification of the INEC voters register, and the mix up of election materisls meant for various towns and communities. In many of the communities believed to be strongholds of opposition to the APGA incumbent governmrnt in Anambra State.

In making the announcement, Senator Ngige indicated that the INEC should redo the elections in all the communities affected by the failure of INEC. The INEC had announced that it would conduct new election in 65 wards. Ngige and his APC rejected the move by INEC.
