The Jigawa state governor Alhaji Sule Lamido spoke out shortly after the announcement that G7 governors had joined the All Progressive Congress [APC] denying the claim that he had joined the APC stating in his words that “while I accept that my party the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] is currently embroiled in serious crisis
especially by the Bamanga Tukur style of leadership with impunity – that does not necessitate me renouncing myself and relinquishing my historical authority to anybody”.
He continued to add that “it is true that myself and family are currently under a huge political heat wave and campaign of miss information and smear to the effect that my family and I are adjudged guilty in the public court by the gullible and ill informed”.
“This will not intimidate nor harass me out of the party, and I will not give any body the pleasure of engaging me by his terms for now I wish to state that I remain the living father of the PDP”.
“As for my political persecutors, I will engage them by my terms at the appropriate time. Nobody will speak for me but I will speak for myself”.
Responding, the former member representing brinin kudu federal constituency honorable Faruq Adamu aliyu said Lamido is deceiving himself he wanted to escape with the state’s stolen loot.
