The Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has commended the move by five of the G7 governors who defected to APC, adding that more governors are at the verge of joining APC.

Governor Okorocha made the commendation at Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport Owerri on arrival from Abuja.

The governor maintained that the defection will further strengthen democracy in the country, and bring to bear the realization of two party systems.

He said that he had earlier predicted the crossover of aggrieved governors to APC and added that the country is now heading to a two party system which would create opportunity for comfort and freedom synonymous with healthy democracy.

Governor Okorocha used the forum to express the APC stand on the supplementary election in Anambra state. According to him, the party leaders staged a protest at INEC headquarters in Abuja demanding the cancellation of the entire election as it was characterized by noticeable irregularities.
