The chief magistrate court in Jigawa state holding in Ringim has issued
the warrant of arrest of senator Danladi sankara and his son Auwalu
danladi sankara and one other person, Dangumel for their inability to
appear before the court – senator danladi sankara is the senator
representing Jigawa north senatorial district.
According the letter of arrest signed by the judge, Malam
Nuhu Dawaki Aminu that the offense against the three
people – as conspiracy and incitement to commit assault ,mischief, causing
grievous hurt and destruction of properties to the electoral act and
panel code laws of Jigawa state.
The lawyer of the complainants Aliyu Umar who appeared for the complainant
together with Dr. Aliyu in which all the complainants
were in court by name Faruq Adamu Aliyu Aminu sule sankara while A, A
UMAR and other two main complainants were not in court.
A criminal summons was issued by the court following the complaint filed. But the Senator and his son failed to show up at the court on the given court date. They failed to provide excuse as to their absence. To this end, the lawyer of the complainant urged the court under the section of 70
of sub section 1 of CPC law of Jigawa state cap 39 to order for the
arrest of the 3 accused persons who have been served with criminal
summons.
The court obliged.
As a caveat, the former gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Jigawa state, Hon. Faruq
Adamu Aliyu on behalf of the members of Jigawa state chapter of the APC
had filed a criminal complaint against senator Danladi sankaa for what he
said sankara threatened to use violence during Saturday by-election held at sankara in Ringim local government for the seat of the state house of assembly representing Ringim local
government.
The copies of audio and visual of the threatened violence was distributed the to
press and made available to general public and security officials at
the press center during the press briefing.
The police had arrested over 56 people suspected thugs who were alleged to have been sponsored by senator sankara to create violence in ringim during the election.

federal constituency Hon. Faruq Adamu Aliuyu called on the attorney
general to use his office in ensuring that senator danladi sankara is
tried according to the law of the land because nobody is above the
law. In his words, “while I await your response in earnest, I do not need to remind you
that all criminal prosecution in Jigawa state under whatever guise is
done on your behalf and with your instructions as the state attorney
general” he lamented.
“I had expected that an arrest the time the senator uttered
those words which he said we are going to kill and set opposition house ablaze but unfortunate those threats wading to life and peaceful
conduct of the bye election, our security institutions including the
police and DSS did not take any action”.
Those bodies would have called the senator to order at least to
avert the breach of the peace. Incidentally, this was not done – giving the
senator the courage to keep to his words by actualizing his threat
during the by-election of Saturday 21st September.
Faruq confirmed that he was brutally attacked by thugs sponsored by senator danladi sankara
About 100 thugs with serious weapons which include
machete, sticks, knives, etc – attacked one of his divers – he received serious
injuries.
