The governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha hasl said that the rate at which All Progressive Congress [APC] has gained popularity in the country was making members of other political parties to panic.
Governor Okorocha who stated this while interacting with journalists at the Government House, Owerri, said that the APC was the only political party whose interest was directed towards improving the lives of the majority of the people as well as make them have a sense of belonging.
He said that APC was not a regional or tribal party, but was formed to ensure the deliverance of Nigerians from the hands of those who want to use them to achieve self desire.
The governor gave assurance that the party will win the 2015 presidential election and will give mature leadership to the people of the country, pointing out that the people will start enjoying motorable roads, qualitative education, uninterrupted water supply as well as security.
Owelle Okorocha expressed satisfaction with the level of support the party was getting from the people of the state and enjoined them not to relent to enable the party take the federation to the peak of infrastructural development by 2015.
He then announced that the party was not divided in Imo State as against what people were speculating.
