Policemen from the Anti Robbery unit of the Aba Area Command, Abia State have rescued a businesswoman, Ebere Amarachukwu from her kidnappers.
247ureports.com gathered that the kidnappers were said to have dropped her in a village at Obingwa local government council where she was later picked up by the police team.
Narrating the incident to our reporter, a close associate of the victim said she was abducted at a village near International Glass Industries Limited, Aba as she went to inspect the progress of work at a building project.
She hinted that the three kidnappers stormed the project site soon after the woman arrived, held everyone hostage before forcing her to her car and sped off.
247ureports.com further gathered that the workers at the site immediately reported the incident to the Ohuru Isimmiri Police Division.
According to reports, the victim’s Honda SUV which was recovered the next day was later taken to Eastern Ngwa Police Division.
Abia state Police public Relations Officer (PPRO), Geoffrey Ogbonna, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, who confirmed Amarachukwu’s release said efforts are on to track down the kidnappers.
