The Abia state chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has inaugurated a 12 man election campaign committee to assist in mobilizing support for Chief Willie Obiano, the party’s candidate in the November 16 Anambra gubernatorial election.

The committee members are Chief Chuks Jideani, chairman; Kingsley MaduaKor, secretary; Chief Marcelinus Aguocha; Mrs. Ijeoma Ujoumunna; Comrade Frank Udeagha and Jude Bomber Eke

Other members include Elder Sunday Onukwubiri, Chief Ojiabo Ojiabo, Chief Sunday Onyeribe, Chief John Onwukwe, Chief Okwudiri Ofor and comrade Ejikeme Okoronkwo.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the chairman of the party in Abia state, Prince Nnanna Ukaegbu said the committee’s major assignment is to mobilize Anambra natives resident in Abia state to support APGA during the polls.

The committee is also required to mobilize support from Abia and Imo states natives resident in Anambra State for the party and her candidate in the November 16 election.

Ukaegbu mandated the committee to co-ordinate the launch of the APGA governorship candidate slated for Aba later in the month.

“Since Anambra is the cradle of civilization of the Igbo and most importantly the home state of the late Ezeigbo Gburugburu and national leader of our great party, you must ensure that Anambra remains within the fold of APGA”, he charged them.

Responding, chairman of the committee, Chief Jideani assured that his committee would carry out its assigned duties with dedication as to ensure that the party wins the election.

“As a native of Agulu the same as the party’s chairman and who is conversant with the terrain of Anambra politics, we will put in extra efforts as to ensure success for the party,” he promised.
