Sacked Police Officer Kills One, Injures Three In Jigawa

A notorious thug by the name Abba – a sacked police officer
today hacked down a 40 year old man Malam magaji of galadanchi quaters to death in Ringim
local government area of Jigawa state and injured 3 other people in
the area.

The commandant of the Nigeria civil defense and security corps
Dr. muhammed Gidado said the sacked officer committed the act while he was
drunk. He had no reason for the attack.

Abba who is also known as AKT in the area used a cutlass to kill magaji.

Other innocent bystanders sustained injuries. They include Auwalu dangare,Amadu
Abdullahi, and Hafizu Aminu. They are now receiving treatment at Aminu
kano teaching hospital.

The suspect was arrested and handed
over to police in Ringim divisional office for investigation.

Malam Abubakar Rahman – an eye witness to the killing spoke to our
correspondent. He said the former police officer was earlier prevented
from killing his mother before he descended on innocent
passerby.

He said “As early as 9 am this morning Abba picked
quarrel with
his mother over his drug abuse. Before we knew what was
happening he brought out cutlass attempted to cut his mother
and she managed to escape from the house. He ran out of the compound. The first man he met on bike – he macheted him on the wrist. Some people sitting by the roadside who rushed to grab him were not that lucky as he macheted one of them on head. He was rushed to the hospital but he died on the way. Abba ran into the nearby street and met the first person
that he came across at the back. As he was running he kept
hitting people with the cutlass

The jigawa Jigawa state police PPRO said he is yet to receive signal on the
matter that is why he could not comment.
