 
The Rivers state police command has confirmed the abduction of the archbishop, Niger Delta Province, Dean, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion and the Bishop, Diocese of Niger Delta North, Most Rev. Dr Ignatius C.O. Katty who is second in command to the primate of church of Nigeria by unidentified gunmen in Rivers state.
Speaking with 247ureports.con on the telephone, the Rivers state public relation officer, DSP Angle Akabe said the gunmen attacked the bishop and abducted him and his wife at Eleme in Rivers state  at about 10.30pm on Friday on his way to welcome the primate of church of Nigerian.
She said because of the police arrival at the scene – Bishop katty’s wife was dumped at a bush side along Eleme road.
According to her, the police is still investigating on the issue.
