More confusion hovers in the PDP, as indications show that the party will today seize the opportunity provided by the conflict of two candidates to sweep both candidates produced by the parallel conventions of August 24, 2014 and draft Akachukwu Nwankpo, erstwhile Special Adviser  to President Goodluck  Jonathan on Technical Matters.

Two candidates, Tony Nwoye and Andy Uba emerged from two separate primaries held in two venues in Awka. Both have been embroiled in altercation and litigation arising from the development.

Another aspirant who participated in one of the two primaries, Hon Nicholas Ukachukwu is also in court seeking to stop Tony Nwoye from becoming the PDP candidate.

Attempts by one of the candidate Mr Tony Nwoye to submit his documents in INEC office yesterday was rebuffed, while the factional candidate was requested to return on Tuesday Next Week, which happens to be the final day for submissions.

But the plan itself may run into a hitch as it is being caught in the web of intrigues at the national level of the party where opposes forces, even within the rump of Old PDP (different from break-away nPDP), see the proposal as premeditated. Hence, forces are mobilising instead to propose fresh primaries to be conducted in Abuja with delegates made up of all the factional state officers and the National officers from the South East, as well as the National Chairman and the secretary.

The myriad of controversies in the matter is discouraging people across Anambra State.
