Chief Victor Umeh’s reaction: –
The APGA National Chairman Victor Umeh while reacting to the court order stated that “Maxi Okwu is a confusionist, it is unfortunate that as a lawyer he is confusing the court system, the judgment of the Court of Appeal has nullified any claim that Okwu has on the leadership of APGA. He has been at the Federal High Court Abuja trying to obtain the order, which as a lawyer he knows is an abuse of court process, the electoral act does not support a political party submitting the names two candidates, since it is an ex-parte order we shall approach the court to vacate it.
“INEC has since accepted the name of Chief Willy Obiano as the candidate of APGA and has acknowledged it. INEC did not monitor the primary that produced Obidigbo, since the ex-parte order was obtained by deceit we shall approach the court to set it aside as the court of appeal judgment has removed any claim that Okwu is laying on leadership of the party” he added.
