Our attention has been drawn statements issued from one source in the name two shadowy organisations, Conference of Nigeria Registered Voters and ‘Coalition of Civil Society Organisations on election and Monitoring in Nigeria’.
Both contraptions are labouring to stain the excellent direct Primaries conducted by All Progressive Congress (APC) on Monday September 2, 2013, which has been widely commended for eschewing corruptive purchase of delegates found in other parties.
In the first instance, our checks with the appropriate authorities confirm that none of these organisations is registered.
We abhor the emission on of loose statements by members of a political party with double candidature for November 16 Anambra State elections, masquerading as a non-governmental organisations.
Besides those who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Any oganisation that can point an accusing finger at another for imagined imposition must also not preposterously impose their views on innocent and silent majority of voters in Nigeria without any authority of law acquired through registration.
APC re-confirms the probity, freeness and fairness of the conduct of its primaries in which Senator (Dr.) Chris Ngige emerged the party’s candidates. And has been duly certified by our strong, large and formidable party.
We acknowledge the congratulatory messages sent by eminent traditional rules and other dignitaries, and organisations on this subject and wish to warn politicians to fast-track the Anambra 2014 campaign to issues, rather that applying yesterday’s tactics, as the failed propaganda targeted at the last and next governor of Anambra State has failed.
We ask these amorphous interlopers in Anambra’s peaceful democratic space to give us a reference on their reports of the APGA primaries where one neo god father picked all the delegates and kept it secret from all aspirants, only to deceive a whole zone and an entire party with his business partner.
We also request them to show the world their report on the PDP double primaries where, hotel workers in Awka joined in the struggle for N500, 000 each received by corrupt delegates to sell their soul.
We sincerely enjoin our teeming and intending supporters in the Anambra 2014 race to vote massively for Senator Nwabueze Ngige and APC in the November 16 elections, to avoid being duped by these shadowy organisations
We urge security agencies to take proper judicial notice of this organisation, so that our nation will not have reason to be shocked in no time.
Having reluctantly decided to join issues with these shadowy organisations, only to protect the general public from misinformation, APC will not hesitate to apply the necessary laws to bring the individual members of these rival political parties to further justice.
To be forewarned is to be fore-armed.
