The minister of Interior Comrade Abba Moro said his ministry under
Nigerian Immigration services has flush out over 22,000 illegal
migrants within the last six months of this year – the flushing
exercise was performed across the country.

Comrade Moro stated this in Dutse when inspecting and assessing
facilities in Jigawa state stating that the exercise are available for
the various agencies under the federal ministry of Interior that are
carrying out their assignment in Jigawa state.

He added that, “in an effort to provide maximum security and ensuring
the sanity in the country we have initiated some activities by
mobilizing immigration officials from all command to deploy in our
vulnerable borders with about 11 armored patrol vehicles and we are on
the process of procuring relevant technology that would help us to
monitor our borders
”.

The minister also said, the ministry has undertaken memorandum of
understanding with China and Beijing for providing electronic machines
that should be in the borders.

He said the agencies operating under the ministry are Nigerian
Immigration Service, Nigerian prison services, Nigerian Security and
Civil Defenses corp. Contributing immensely towards provision of
peace, stability and minimizing the rate of criminalities all over the
nation.

However, soliciting the support from the Dutse Emirate, the minister
said one of the disturbing issues was the problem of serious
congestions at the prison especially the young – mostly age averages of
22 years – which is the right time for them to give their contribution
towards the development of the country.

He therefore appealed to the emir and the government at various levels
to embark on local conflicts resolutions and avoid taking any cases to
court. He also urges them to collaborate with agencies in resolving
minor cases in their communities
