Hon Igwe was shot todayย at minutes after 12:00 noon. He was said to haveย narrowly escaped death.
The police public relations officer in Rivers State confirmed the shooting. According to the police, Hon. Igwe was attacked by armed robbers along Eleme road in Port Harcourt. The police statement stated that Hon. Igweย was shot when he attempted to escapeย his vehicle. The said armed robbers did not steal anything from the Honorable Commissioner.ย
