The Imo state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has officially announced the conversion of all the Local Government and ward structures of his former party, the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) to the merger party, the All Progressive Congress (APC), as he declares that APGA has seized to exist in Imo State.
Governor Okorocha made the declaration while presenting the former officials of APGA in the Local Government and wards of the State to the National Zonal Vice Chairman of APC and other officials of the party at a forum held at the Ahiajoku conference Centre, Owerri.
The Imo Chief Executive who maintained the APGA does not have a national outlook advised the Igbos to join the new merger party which presents a way forward for Ndigbo and the nation at large. He stressed that APC is the party that would guarantee the long desired positive change for the nation and enjoined all to embrace it.
He announced that a 21-man harmonization committee has been set up to ensure even representation of the interest of all the merger parties in the State and advised the APC members to work as a team.
In his remarks earlier, the National Zonal Chairman of APC, Dr. Nyerere Anyim called on all Igbos to join the party to form a formidable team in order to guarantee a radical change in governance.  He commended the leadership style of Governor Okorocha and described him as a man of great vision.

  1. This is an infraction on the freedom of association guaranteed every citizen by the Nigerian constitution. No one born of woman can do what he is purporting to do.
APGA is the heritage of Ndigbo in the uncertain climate of Nigerian politics. We must have our own distinct shelter as we rally our people into one fold for sustained relevance.
Governor Okorocha cannot overreach himself anymore.

  2. Mr Okorocha rode to power on the back of Ibo nationalism symbolised by APGA. Once there, he kicks the ladder and joins the ausa/yolovba islamist plot. Ibo electorare will punish him.

  3. Man of vision! It is better to converge in the cause of forming a better Nigeria. Well meaning citizenry known for their credibility, tested and trusted would form a better basement to a greater nation. The team that would be based by peoples confidence not pool of looters, blood sucking vampires and Kan-magician. Long live Nija.
