All Progressive Congress has challenged Labour Party to say ‘what it would do for Anambra State in the unlikely event of being voted into office on November 16, rather than play an ethnic card that will be detrimental to  Anambra State .

APC was reacting to comments credited the National Chairman of the Labour Party, Mr Dan Iwuanyanwu in Awka during its affirmation primaries to pick their Anambra State flag bearer.

Iwuanyanwu was quoted as saying that Anambra voters should not vote for APC because Governor Fashola was not democratic in carrying out what he called ‘deportation of Anambra citizens’

But in a swift reaction, Spokesman for APC Labour Party to unfold its manifestoes, if any for Anambra voters to assess, noting that Anambra would prefer to vote for a party that is doing well in governance across 11 states, with a super candidate that is head and shoulder above everyone in the race, than an emergent party in the state whose lone governor in Ondo, Segun Mimiko considers 16 a majority to 19 –a true testimony to the anti-democratic credentials of Labour Party.

According to APC ‘the relocation of destitute to various home states including Ondo, where Labour controls the government, has been going on for ten years, noting that even the Labour Party –controlled government has also relocated Nigerians to other states, and therefore there is no political point to score from a situation where the government of Anambra State abdicated its responsibilities’

Madukaife asked rhetorically: ‘Is Fashola from Anambra State? Where was Iwuanyanwu and Labour Party when the implementation of the Lagos Social Welfare Programme started in 2003 under Governor Ahmed Bola Tinubu at about the same time that the same state subjected those driving against traffic to psychiatric tests and achieved road sanity?’ Continuing, APC spokesman asked Labour Party to explain what value the  lone legislator in the Anambra State House of Assembly has added to governance in the state to merit being entrusted with higher responsibility, noting that the party is currently resting o funds drawn from illegal drain on the petroleum subsidy, a trait they share with the PDP’ APC warned Labour Party that now that the rigging plan has been unearthed, ‘APC, which is not a dumping ground for those  who failed elsewhere, will be watching closely to ensure that the rigging plan that Labour Party has begun in the INEC voter review exercise does not  materialise’.

APC urged  Anambra State voters  not to waste their votes on Labour Party in any November  16 polls in Anambra State because it is not a stable or established party and therefore will be overwhelmed by the task of governance in a complex.
