The sky was untied loose at the Government House in Lafia as widow of slain police officers cried for help from the Nasarawa State police. This was as the governor of Ebonyi state donated a fully furnish home/house to a police officer who served gallantly in Ebonyi State. The police officer hails from Nasarawa.
The widows including compassionate persons at the occasion – marking the handing over of a trailer of rice to the widows and the keys to a brand new furnished house to a police officer, by the name, Corporal David Ishaya, an indigene of Nasarawa who succeeded in killing nine (9) armed robbery while serving in Ebonyi state as a lance corporal.
The Governor of Ebonyi state, Amadi Elechi commended the gallant officer for saving the lives of many people in the cause of his service. Along with the donated house, the governor donated an additional N1million to the officer.
The Governor also donated a trailer of rice to widows of police officers slain at Eggon community.
The donation by the Ebonyi Governor created an emotion to concerned Nigerians over the recent happenings. It resulted to the widows going wild in appealing for the federal and state Government to assist the widows and ward of the late security operatives – that died in active service.
The representative of the widow lamented the vacuum created after the demise of their bread winners.
