As a result of increase of indecent assault on female children in
Jigawa state, the chairman of Dutse local government area, Alhaji Abdulaziz Dankofa warned p-parents in Dutse communities to be more
careful with their female children because they have
discovered series of cases in the state on defiling young girls in the
state.
The chairman made the lamentation and warning when a delegation
from Sabulari community paid him a courtesy visit in his office – to thank
him for the construction of a central mosque in their community.
The chairman added that his council has earmarked over N1.7m to
student study at various institutions of learning in the state with a
view to encourage the students study at various institutions of
learning in the state and outside the state. He explained further that 50
centres were established in the local government and that N30,000 were given
to each of the centre as ramadan to feed people in the area.
The chairman urged them to desist from putting their female children to
street hawking. He described the issue as a serious calamity while
advising them to establish vigilant groups in their various
community so as to fight the issue of spoiling young children in the
state.
