Afenifere chieftain and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye has urged the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) to sanction those who masterminded the violent attack on Ekiti State secretariat of the party and inflicted injuries on three members of the State Exco of the party, saying; “Masterminds of such barbaric act must not be allowed to go scot free.”

He also called on the police and other security agencies in the State to conduct thorough investigation into the matter with a view to bringing the culprits to justice.

In a release signed by the Director General of his campaign organisation, Hon. Bisi Kolawole, the governorship aspirant said; “without mincing words, those who masterminded and carried out that shameful and animalistic act of Tuesday are enemies of the PDP and they should be treated as such.”

He noted that; resorting to violence attack on innocent party members and journalists right inside the party secretariat was inimical to the image of the party.

“As far as I know, there are other party machineries to resolve dispute and the law court is there if the party fails to resolve its crisis internally.

“Therefore, resorting to violence as means of showing grievances should be discouraged totally and the only way to do this is for those who carried out the attack of Tuesday to be sanctioned appropriately.

“The NWC of our great must therefore rise up to save the party in Ekiti by making sure that those behind the Tuesday attack on three members of the Ekiti State Exco and journalists are made to face the full wrath of the party so as to serve as deterrent to others,” Adeyeye maintained.
