The violent activities of unknown gunmen in the northern region of Nigeria continues to pose a concern to the security operatives in Kano and other states in Northern Nigeria. This is as 247ureports.com gathered that the wife to the Director of Information in the Kano State Ministry of Information and Sports, Hajiya Hadiza Usman was strangled to death by unknown assailants. She was murdered in cold blood at her residence in Sabon Gandu on the late morning hours of Tuesday June 11, 2013.
The spokesman of Kano Police Command, ASP Magaji Musa Majiya, confirmed the incident.
The incident occurred in her resident located in Kano metropolis at about 11 am when the unknown assailants burgled their way into their apartment. Hadiza was aged 21. She recently married the Director of Information, Alhaji Usman Yakasai 9 days ago.
The husband narrated that Hadiza was alone in the house when the incident occurred.
The police indicated that some of suspects have been arrested.
