Special Adviser To Governor Al-Makura, Decamps to PDP

The People’s Democratic Party Nasarawa state wing has made bumper harvest following the defection of former Deputy Governor under the platform of the PDP under the reign of Governor Abdullahi Adamu,Professor,Onje Gye Wado, – a Governorship contender in 2011 election under the auspices of the Action Congress of Nigeria and Nawani Aboki, – a Governorship aspirant of the Labour Party.
The national chairman of the party, Bamanga Tukur while welcoming the decampees at the state secretariat of the party in Lafia assured members of the PDP of total victory come 2015 elections. Tukur sued for unity among chieftain and supporters of the party at all times.
The national chairman expressed dismay over the development, saying the defection of members of the various political parties as a leverage that the PDP is still in control of Nasarawa state.

Other heavyweight that defected to the PDP also include the chieftain of the All Nigerian People’s Party, Honorable Adamu Sule, former member Nasarawa State House of Assembly and immediate past Special Adviser to Governor Al-Makura on legislative matters, Anna Dogonyaro, Hon.Raymond Akolo, Iliya Dikko.

Nawani Aboki in his testimony said he was among the arrow head that herald the movement for change in 2011 Governorship election. He asserted that the change they agitated for has been hampered by the party at the behest of affairs.
The state chairman of party, Yonana Iliya stated that the merger process did not work in Nasarawa state – adding that the vast of those that decamped to the party comes from the various political parties that make up the merging political parties into the yet to registered All Progressive Congress (APC).
