Over five Thousand (5000) students and puils are out of school in Nasarawa state, The alarmng drop in school enrolment may not be unconnected to an outbreak of reprisal attack on Rukubi community of Ekye Development Area by Tiv mercenaries and militiamen from the neighboring Benue state.
The mass exodus of people from their permanent place of abode did not only affects academic activities of the secondary and primary schools in the crisis prone zone but also paralyzed socio-economic activities in the state, 247ureports.com can confidently revealed that no fewer than five hundred (500) displaced persons mostly women,the aged and under age children were found in the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs ) camp in Doma central primary school.
It was reliably gathered that vast of the population of the displaced persons are seeking for refugee in either the abode of their relatives or friends, The discovery of some corpses in neighboring villages of Agbabu ignited fear as many communities flee their homes in anticipation of any eventuality, People of Agbashi the most devastated community in the last Fulani/Agatu clash are second to pull out, Agbabu, Idadu, Doka,Ijiwo,Yelwa Ediya,Ahina (Tiv) and Campo (Tiv0) settlement too are fleeing their homes and farms.

Apart from the series of attack on Assakio,Agayarugu communities,other communities of Burum-Burum,Barikin Abdullahi (BAD) ,Kwandare ,Rutu suffers in the hands of Ombatse militiamen while Iga,Bassa,Yelwan Bassa,Ruwan Doma were attacked by Fulani mercenaries,A reliable source from the displaced persons from Rukubi (Gaddafi) an employee with Olam Nig Limited said the death toll has risen to over forty (40) .
The Executive Secretary to Nasarawa State Emergency Management Agency (NASEMA) Dr.Abdullahi Idris in an interview with our reporter aver that over sixteen (16) communities were sacked by the scores of ethnic and communal violence while over Two Hundred (200) communities were displaced by flood disaster in 2012,Has it was revealed that schools,Health centres,roads,houses and farmland were washed away,Though at the time of filling in this report Dr.Idris did not disclosed the number of people killed in last years flood catastrophe.
