Gov. Peter Obi today paid glowing tribute to Engr Godwin Osele, 57, the former Chairman of the Aguata Local Government Area who passed away recently. Others who spoke at the funeral ceremony in Aguata were Sen. Andy Uba, Hon Eucharia Azodo and Fr Theodore Iloh, who describe Osele as a man who ” can never be forgotten, for the the legacies he left behind will be there to speak for him. ”
SSG Oseloka H. Obaze, who represented Gov. Obi exhorted those present to emulate Mr Osele and to immortalize him in their LGA so that he would continue to serve as a role model for posterity. SSG Obaze said that Gov. Peter Obi was of the view that “Osele was an exemplary and extremely dedicated public servant, who empowered his people and promoted governance at the grassroots.” He noted that all those who paid tribute to the late Osele spoke in “incontrovertible unison about his goodness, fairness and love for the old Aguata area.”
