70 year old man Malam Rabiu Mohammed, a shoe shiner was docked for alleged rapping a 3 year old baby in birniwa local government area in Hadejia emirate council of Jigawa state.
Rabiu was arrested by members of civil defense security working at Birniwa local government area council last week.
The commandant of the Nigerian civil defense corps Malam Mohammed Fari testified to the arrest. He explained that the suspect was taken to Hadejia sharia court for investigation after the suspect’s confession.
247ureports.com spoke to the suspect. He acknowledged that all the information given to the court by the civil defense official was correct. He however noted that he was seeking fairness and forgiveness from the court.
The suspect was arranged before the honorable Ibrahim Rabiu hardo of upper sharia court in Hadejia – where he was charged under section 128 of the sharia panel code laws of the Jigawa State
The case is scheduled for hearing on 3rd of July 2013.
