We condemn in totality, the call for the arrest the leader of the
Niger Delta Volunteer force, Alhaji Mujahid Asari Dokubo.

The statement made by Asari Dokubo concerning the forthcoming 2015
general election and President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is an
expression of his love for his president, his region and his
geo-political zone.
This is a democratic setting and we believe that freedom of speech,
which is one of our fundamental human rights should be respected by
all.
Nigeria is a Nation that belongs to all. Therefore, the presidency
should not be seen as the birth right of any particular ethnic group
or geo-political zone.

We therefore call on the presidency and State security service to
disregard the call for the arrest of Alhaji Asari Dokubo as such will
be violating his right of “Freedom of speech and Expression” .

We also want to sound this as a note of warning to all those calling
for his arrest to face their respective businesses and focus on
contributing their own quota towards ensuring peace and stability in
the nation.

God bless us all!
