Igbo Leader moves to resolve APGA Crises

Igbo leader and the Ogirisi of Igbo land Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka has initiated move to resolve the lingering crises in All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA which has divided the party in to two factions led by Chief Maxy Okwu on one side and Chief Victor Umeh on the other side with both claming the position of the National chairman of the party

 

Speaking to journalists at his office inside the newly constructed Ogirisi Igbo Conflict Resolution Center at Rojenny Games Village Oba Chief Ezeonwuka states that as the Ogirisi Igbo, he is saddled with the obligation of resolving every conflict in Igbo land traditional, political or otherwise

 

He said, “as the Ogirisi Igbo, the task of resolving the crises in APGA falls into my Jurisdiction and thus I have initiated the move to invite both warring faction to this Conflict Resolution center for us to deliberate and find lasting solution to it.”

 

He Condemned the crises describing it as a bad omen for Ndigbo who are expected to build their political interest on APGA just like the Yoruba did with ACN , and maintained that the crises has to be resolved immediately to enable the party settle down and work on challenges ahead of Anambra 2014 governorship election and 2015 General election.

 

Asked if he has fixed a date for a meeting, with the warring factions he said that he was still consulting some stakeholders who he wishes to be part of the meeting after which a date has to be fixed

 

On the Emergency Rule declared by President Jonathan in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe State, Chief Ezeonwuka said that Mr President must have took the decision based on security reports he has, adding that declaring State of Emergency in Govemance is normal as former presidents Obasanjo also did it.
