The campaign organisation of Prince Dayo Adeyeye, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye Movement (PAAM) has reiterated his commitment to the ongoing Supreme Court case instituted by former governor of the State, Chief Segun Oni against the October 15, 2010 Appeal Court judgment that removed him from office.
PAAM said activities of the campaign organisation was not as a result of lack of faith, interest and commitment in the matter but “normal political activities that is subject to the outcome of the Supreme Court case.”
Speaking during a meeting with top-shots of the campaign group in Ado-Ekiti today, PAAM Director General, Hon. Bisi Kolawole urged members PDP in the State not to relent in their support the former governor in his bid to right the judicial wrongs done to him and the entire State.
“Now that May 31, 2013 has been fixed for the historic judgment, we should continue to pray as we have been praying to God to give us victory because it is only God that can right the wrongs done to us in Ekiti by the Salamic judgment,” Kolawole said.
While declaring the quest of the Southern Senatorial district of the State to produce the next governor of the State, Kolawole said; “Zoning is in furtherance to the position of our great party, the PDP.
“It is enshrined in Chapter 1:7 Sub Section 3c of the party’s Constitution, which states that: ‘the party shall pursue its aims and objectives by adhering to the policy of rotation and zoning of party and public elective offices in pursuance of principle of equity, justice and fairness.’
“Therefore, any PDP member that is saying there won’t be zoning on the Ekiti State governorship election is either ignorant of the party’s Constitution or just being mischievous because of his or her selfish personal ambition.”
