If indications are anything to go by, the newly formed All Progressives Congress (APC) sill likely sweep through some parts of the country like a hurricane.
Already, two strong political camps in the northern parts of the country appear set to dump the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the new mega party formed last Wednesday following the merger of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and a faction of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Information reaching News Express has it that Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of the ‘Kwankwasiya’ faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and two aides of former Kaduna State Governor, late Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, are set to defect to the APC.
“Kwankwaso and the former Secretary to the Kaduna State Government (SSG) , Lawal Samaila Yakawada, who was sacked last month by Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero and one other chieftain of the PDP are planning to join our new party, APC very soon,” a reliable source told News Express.
