As a result of this Government House chapel, Jos declared a three day prayer and fasting session for the restoration of lasting peace in the state.

The Government Chaplain, Rev Chidi Harrison stated this while interacting with journalists in Jos.

He said that prominent preachers were expected to grace the occasion and pray for the state and added that a similar programme was held last year which resulted in a lot of blessings for the state and its citizens.

  1. The bitter truth is that Jos has become the center of tribal dispute. The northerners who are of different tribe from the natives are unable live with natives who are themselves have history of blood. It is a bad mix. No lasting peace talk in Jos and in North will occur without getting the Igbos involved. What is happening in Jos has been happening to Igbo people of Kogi state for centuries. Fight the north for the northerners attitude and make it the north for Nigeria attitude. And stop the killing.
