For attending the function and receiving sundry poverty alleviation gifts and favour from a non-governmental organization(NGO), Adadioranma Foundation at Ukpor, Nnewi South Local Government headquarters of Anambra state, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has sacked its executives.

Reacting to the seeming unending controversy surrounding the Foundation’s gesture, the Transition Committee chairman for the Local Government Area, Chief Egwuoyibo Okoye who announced the sacking of the party’s chairman-Jude Okwudiba, and Woman Leader-Azuka Otubelu, in the area as a result.

He debunked all claims of the embattled party chieftains, adding that they were given option of quitting the foundation/rejecting the gifts of cars, cash and other packages or be sacked.

He accused the duo of being behind the lagging behind of APGA in the area all along, and was happy to have narrowed and decisively tackled the problem.

In a quick reaction, the coordinator of the Foundation Hon Max Ujubuonu noted that its benefactor, Dr Nkoli Imo is a peace-loving public-spirited citizen who have been helping indigent and less-privileged citizens with scholarship, cash, vehicles, school fees, hairdressing/barbing salon equipment celebrated anniversary of the existence of the foundation in the area with gifts to many individuals.

He noted that it was unfortunate that some APGA members led by Okoye got offended that APGA members attended and benefitted, fearing the gesture had political undertone because of the presence of Senator Andy Uba at the presentation ceremony.

He said it was so bad that even the governor was brought into it. According to him, the foundation embraces citizens from all walks of life, non-religious, non-tribal , non-partisan whose aim it to do good to benefit mankind always.
