Shocking as it may sound, in less than 24 hours after the much talked Nigerian ‘Mega’ Party was agreed to be formed, a major set-back has hit the group.
In what political observers could be termed as a crack in the alliance, APGA has dissociated itself from the talks.
The Announcement of their opposition to the merger came from the Anambra State chapter of APGA, saying, that the party has stated categorically that it has not merged with any political party or group of parties.
A statement made available to Hope For Nigeria, the Anambra state Information Commissioner, Chief Joemartins Uzodike, described the purported merger as a figment of the imagination of some people and therefore, null and void.
Chief Uzodike added that APGA had neither gone into nor did it intend to go into any merger talks with any political party, let alone the ones mentioned in the merger.

MERGER OR NO MERGER, MY QUESTION IS: WHO IS APGA LEADER, I MEAN LEADER, I REPEAT LEADER. NOT NATIONAL CHAIRMAN BUT LEADER. THAT IS WHAT I MEAN-LEADER. SINCE THE DEMISE OF APGA LEADER/FOUNDER, DIM CHUKWUEMEKA ODUMEGU OJUKWU WE ARE YET TO SEE OR HEAR OF ANYONE TAKING OVER. NEITHER OBI NOR OKOROCHA WILL GET INTO THIS LEADERSHIP POSITION BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED BY THE SO-CALLED FOUNDING MEMBERS OF APGA. BESIDES, THEY ARE PURE BUSINESS MEN IN THE REAL SENSE OF IT. QUESTION AGAIN: SO, WHO IS APGA LEADER AS WE SPEAK. WHEN OBI IS DONE WITH HIS SECOND TERM, I DON’T SEE HIM SPENDING USELESS TIME FIGHTING FOR AGPA LEADERSHIP BECAUSE HE IS TOO MUCH OF A GENTLEMAN AND NOT CUT OUT FOR CRAP. OKOROCHA IN MY OPINION IS AGAIN GUNNING FOR NUMBER ONE SEAT WHICH HE WILL NEVER EVER ACHIEVE IN APGA. SO, AGAIN WHO IS APGA LEADER????????? IS APGA DESTINED FOR DOOM????? My question is begging for answer.
