The recent attack on the esteem Emir of the Nigerian North West State of Kano continues to send ripples across the entire northern region of Nigeria within the security quarters – as the efforts to solve the crime appears to yield results. Information available to 247ureports.com obtained through sources within the security agencies stationed in Kano State indicate that two persons suspected to have played a principal role in the attack may have been uncovered – and have been declared wanted by the Police Department in Kano State.
Confirming this information was the Commissioner of Police; Ibrahim K. Idris who told pressmen – two persons were fingered [named] by other detained criminals – as the possible culprits responsible for the attack on the Emir.
The Commissioner gave the names of the fingered suspects as Babangida Baba Salihu and Na’Allah SNU all from Jigawa state. He indicated that the two suspects were local traders at Sabon Gari Market located inside the Kano Metropolis.
Also, a competent source within the Joint Task Force [JTF] revealed that already the JTF has made arrests of persons considered prime suspects in the attacks. The JTF agent confirmed that three suspects were in their custody.
While the security agents rally in their efforts to arrest the believed gunmen responsible for the shooting incident, other more involved persons within the Emirate Council point to other areas of attention that the police and security official have yet to focus their attention. One of the competent sources told 247ureports.com that there are ample information and/or evidence that point to the source of the attack – originating from within the Emirate Council – from groups who are invested in who becomes the next Emir of Kano. The source indicates that the police were already briefed in private regarding the available information available.

Meanwhile, the Emir was slated to have returned this week – but the date was shifted to avoid the crowd that would normally receive the Emir at the Airport. According to a source within the Emir’s entourage, the Emir intends to arrive the Kano Airport unannounced. The Emir is presently in London.
