In an apparent move to assuage the pains of the government and people of Borno and Yobe states, governors under the aegis of the Progressives Governors Alliance(APC) have donated a sum of N200m to the governments of Yobe and Borno to assist them cushion the effects of the Boko Haram insurgents.
This move was one of the highlights of the meeting of the governors when they met today to push forth their agenda of taking over governance at the federal level.
The Nigeria Politics Online gathered that the meeting which commenced around 12.30 noon at the Government House Maiduguri, deliberated on the logo and other paraphernalia of identity for the new party.
The Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola who read the communique of the group after their meeting, said the governors braved all odds to be in Borno against all negative projections of insecurity as a result of the insurgency in the area.
Those in attendance at todayโs meeting include: Govs Babatunde Fasola Lag, Alh Tanko Al- Makura, Nasarrawa, Rochas Okorocha Imo, Kayode Fayemi Ekiti, Senator Ibikunke Amosun Ogun, com Adams Oshiomole Edo, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola Osun, host Gov Kashim Shettima, while Yobe state helmsman was rep by his deputy Engr Abubakar Aliu
Todayโs meeting is the third in a series of meetings held by the governors.
