Abia state governor, Chief Theodor Orji has described the restoration of peace and security as well as bringing all political stakeholders in the state under one platform as his greatest achievement in office.
The governor disclosed this while rendering account of his stewardship at the Nzuko Ikwu na Ibe Ikwuano na Umuahia town hall meeting tagged “Ochendo Explains” at Umuahia, the state capital.
He stated that the town al meeting which has been held in Abuja, Texas and Lagos , was to give account of his stewardship to include new workers’ secretariat, new Government House, construction of high court buildings at Aba and Umuahia, construction of an office complex for the Ministry of Justice and ASEPA, renovating the Abia state House of Assembly complex, building of the 5000 capacity international conference centre, the BCA office complex, amongst other monumental projects.
Orji maintained that his administration has prioritized the health needs of the people of the state by building and equipping 250 health centres across the 17 local councils, the specialist and diagnostic centres in Aba and Umuahia as well as the Dialysis centre and the upgrading of Amachara General Hospital, Umuahia.
In the area of housing, the governor said his administration has completed the Amaokwe Housing Estate, construction of Isieke Housing Estate and the building of senior police officers and military complex
Responding, the member representing Ikwuano State constituency in the state House of Assembly, Prince Chukwuemeka Osoagbaka said the governor has performed excellently well in the areas of development and prayed God to guide him as he steers the ship of the state.
Chief Uzodinma Okpara who chaired the occasion said Orji has impressed him with his legacy projects which includes road rehabilitation and human empowerment and assured him of the support of the people of the area.
