My attention has been drawn to the baseless and malicious allegations published by a faceless group – 247ureports.

In their baseless and mischievous allegation which was solely made to bring disharmony in Anambra state in general, but specifically brew hatred, suspicion and acrimony and thus damage the cordial working relationship which has been strengthened over the years of his excellency Governor Obi’s administration between the executive and the state legislature.

This faceless group stated in their devilish ploy to sow the seed of evil by alleging that 36 million naira was released by Gov. obi to the speaker Hon. Mrs Chinwe Nwaebili, and went further to maliciously state how it was embezzled by the Hon Speaker. I must state that this allegation was completely unfounded. 247ureport stated that 400,000 naira was released to each member of the state assembly. For air fare? Accommodation? or the cost for the training?! Simple economics dictates that such an amount can only take care of the training course in South Africa but not cover the full expenses of such a trip. This goes to expose the low I.Q of this faceless group and their baseless allegations.

Further, Anambra State House of Assembly ably headed by the speaker Hon Chinwe Nwaebili and her deputy Hon Chukwudi Orizu both have a long and distinguished record of selfless service and unimpeachable integrity.

I enjoin the peace loving people of Anambra State who have shown immense love and support for our amiable governor to please disregard this malicious publication, and join hands with Gov. Obi as he continues to deliver on his promise to take Anambra state to greater heights and also forge a warm and cordial relationship with the House of Assembly for the smooth running of the State.

Long live Anambra State! Long live Nigeria!!

Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Inter Party Relations.
