Information reaching 247ureports.com indicate that the operatives of the dreaded Islamic terrorist group, the Boko Haram have refocused their attention on the northern state of Kano. This is as breaking reports from Kano indicate that the agents of Boko Haram are presently engaged in a gun fire battle with the men of the Joint Task Force [JTF].
The gun fire exchange began at about 7:30am – when a group of gunmen suspected to be agents of Boko Haram attacked a JTF check point by detonating an explosive device – believed to be an Improvised Explosive Device [IED]. The JTF agents were quick to respond and – firing back at the gunmen. As at 9am [December 6], the gun battle continues.
The incident is said to be taking place at Kano Ring road by Kano eastern bypass – near Maiduguri road – an area that had suffered numerous attacks by the agents of Boko Haram.
