Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has dissolved the State Executive Council.
In a valedictory session today (Friday), the Governor thanked the outgoing members of the Executive Council for their loyalty and dedication to duty.
The outgoing exco members are to hand over to the Permanent Secretaries in their respective ministries.
Furthermore, all political appointees, including Special Advisers, Executive Directors, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Chairmen and members of Boards of Parastatals, Committees and Task Forces have also been dissolved.
Only the Board of Internal Revenue and Directorate of Information and Telecommunications Technology (ICT) are exempted from this exercise.
All political appointees are to hand over all government property in their possession, including vehicles, to the Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Central Administration, Governor’s Office.
The Governor wishes the outgoing members of the State Executive Council and the other political appointees well in their future endeavours.
