The unending wave of terror attacks by the Islamic Sect Boko Haram, took a new approach Tuesday when a suicide bomber tried to blow an Arik aircraft. The said flight was from Maiduguri to Abuja. According to an eyewitness who also boarded the plane told 247ureports.com that a suspected member of the Boko Haram Sect who also had boarded the aircraft got up in the plane midair and told all the passengers in the aircraft that they should say their very last prayers. As he fetched out the explosive device, as he told the passengers that his major objective were the white people in the aircraft.
However, luck ran out of him, as the explosive device failed to explode before the plane landed in Abuja. Immediately, Police anti-bomb squad moved in and the terrorist was arrested when the plane touched down in Abuja.
However, the arrest of their alleged leader by the SSS appears to have caused the Islamic terrorist group into more violent actions against perceived oppositions. Sources within the security quarters predict an increase of Boko Haram activities in the coming week. It will be recalled that the Joint Task Force had earlier veiled that the sect has plans to launch attacks on Sallah day.
