Abia state governor, Chief Theodore Orji, has felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of the Eid El Kabir festival.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press secretary, Mr. Ugochukwu Emezue, the governor urged Muslim faithful to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity of the country.
“The country is facing serious security challenges now, hence there is need for divine intervention,” the governor.
Orji maintained that no nation can develop in an atmosphere of chaos and called on Nigerians irrespective of their religious inclinations to work harmoniously to move the country forward.
He assured Muslims in the state of adequate security at all times, stressing that security tops the priority list of his administration.
The governor further urged them to support the government’s efforts to transform the state.
